“Indian companies are going to invest up to $20 billion in the petrochemical sector of Iran”, said Mr. Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India, on Saturday in Tehran Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Zanganeh, Minister of Petroleum of Iran confirmed that negotiation with Indian companies have started to build a business model in Farzad B project.
Iran’s Farzad B field is a natural gas field located in the Persian Gulf, with estimated 21.7 trillion cubic feet of gas in place. It was discovered in 2008 by the Indian company ONGC Videsh Ltd. Iran plans to increase Farzad B field production to 3 billion cu ft/d from current production of 1.1 billion cu ft/d.


Higher fuel tariffs for who drives more
Parliament has confirmed that the fuel price will be defined according to its consumption by a car during the month.
The lowest price ($30Cent/Litre) is valid up to 180 Litres/month. In four level of consumption, cars buying more than 250 litres/month, will pay $60Cent/Litre.
The Government has four months to provide “tracking cards” to all vehicles, as the new prices are applicable in August 2016.
In line of “re-allocation-of-subsidies-plan”, for ten years, fuel prices were differentiated according to car models. In September 2015 prices were again equalised.


Plastics and Rubber Industries at IRANPLAST 2016
“Current Polymer-production capacity of Iran is more than 7.4 million tones. This capacity is planned to reach 12 million tones by March 2021”, said Mrs Marzieh Shahdaee during the opening ceremony of the 10th IRANPLAST.
She also confirmed that until March 2017, three new Polyethylene-plants in Kordestan, Mahabad, Lorestan and two new Polystyrene-plants in Asaluyeh will be in operation. These new plants will add another 1.2 million tones production capacity to the country.
The 10th International IRANPLAST Exhibition was inaugurated on Wednesday 13 April. About 900 international and local companies from Plastics and Rubber Industry are participating in IRANPLAST 2016.
