Donya-e-Eghtesad reports the 50% decrease of foreign travels during the Nowrooz Holidays. The article writes that trips to Istanbul and Tbilisi have had 45% and 40% increases in price. A six-night-stay tour to Istanbul for March 2018 would cost 700 USD, including the flight, says the article. The devaluation of the Iranian rial alongside the increase of exit tariffs were the most effective causes of this issue. On the other hand with the stability of the price of fuel as well as fixing the price of hotels, more passengers will seek domestic holiday destinations. Previously, a trip to Istanbul was cheaper than a trip to Kish. The article predicts a 12% increase in the cost of domestic holiday packages.
