Tehran Chamber of Commerce in 1395

Tehran Chamber of Commerce presented a brief report on its achievements during the current Iranian year which ends on March 20.

Masoud Khonsari, Head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, announced the reduction of bureaucratic paperwork and streamlining as the greatest achievement and said: “The private sector has always criticized the Government for being too large and ineffective. Of course, the Chamber believes that streamlining must start from within the organization.”

Khonsari believes that increasing the speed of the bureaucratic process in the private sector can be of great help to institutions for improving the economy. To this end, the Tehran Chamber of Commerce has managed to revolutionize its process of issuing Business Cards; which is one of its chief duties.

“In the past two years, our aim was to create transparency and simplify the issuing of Cards and this was achieved in spite of reducing the personnel responsible from 22 to 8. Currently, if the applicant presents all the required documents, the Card will be issued in under 24 hours. Furthermore, half of the process for the renewal of cards is done in absentia”, said Khonsari.

The Tehran Chamber of Commerce which on average adds 1000 new members annually, currently has 16000 members and is the largest private representative in Iran. This TCC hopes to have 20 thousand members by 2021.

Moreover, in association with Austrian firm, WIFI, The chamber will hold vocational training courses in the coming year.
