Automakers and auto-part manufacturers are entitled to purchase foreign currencies at the lower exchange rate, i.e. one US dollar for 42000 rials, to import their goods. The confirmation of the news by the government pushed several investors to purchase shares at automotive group at Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE).
Overall, the TSE passed another positive week and its main index, TEDPIX, grew 6434 points, 4.9 percent. On Wednesday, TEDPIX reached 136911 points and registered another highest record. See the charts above.
