Markets in Brief 16.03.2018

The two major banks’ stocks, Bank Saderat and Parsian Bank, reopened to traders on Wednesday after being halted for nearly 20 months. Upon their return and release of financial statements, Bank Saderat lost 50% of its share price and Parsian Bank 10.2%, causing a decline of 771 points on the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) overall index, TEPIX. The current capitalization of Bank Saderat is 783 million dollars and Parsian Bank is 646 million dollars.

Over the five trading days of this week, TEPIX lost 1.4% and closed at 95,526 points and TSE market capitalization reached 101 billion USD. See the charts above.
