Incentives for building brands in Saffron Market

Ministry of Agriculture of Iran plans to assign incentives to the producers who build a brand in Saffron exportation. The total budget for such incentive is said to be 1% of the total value of exported saffron which will be assigned to selected producers.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture expansion of drought over the country has considerably decreased the investments in this sector. Beside this, frequent changes in regulations such as giving permissions for exporting certain goods or seizing it, confuse producers and pushes potential investors out of the sector.

Agricultural products cover 60 percent of national demand and the overall export of agricultural products makes 15 percent of the total exported goods in Iran.
