Since the removal of the Minister of Industry and Trade, no-one has yet replaced him and the Ministry is governed by a “manager”, Mr Ebrahim Dorosti.
He warns about the small businesses at danger due to Coronavirus outbreak in Iran and the second wave.
“700,000 businesses are close to bankruptcy due to the crisis after Coronavirus outbreak”, says Mr Dorosti. “We must admit that the government has not performed well in supporting these businesses. We could not realize many promises we have made, however, considering the sanctions, the government can do very little too.”
According to Mr Dorosti, the government had, before the Coronavirus crisis, already a budget deficit of 1700,000 billion rials ($40.1b @CBI rate, or $7.65b @SANA rate)
