Large Chahar Suq of Tehran Bazzar reconstructed

The reconstruction of Large Chahar Suq Square at the Tehran Bazaar has been carried out by Iranian and German repairers. Akhbar Sanaat writes that the German Ambassador to Iran, Michael Klor-Berchtold, was present during the unveiling of the project. The German Ambassador pointed to the cooperation between German and Iranian institutes in the reconstruction of the Sistani Manor in Bam which had been destroyed in the 2003 earthquake. This cooperation has also continued in other areas across the country such as Solomon’s Throne in West Azerbaijan province. Mohammad Beheshti, Head of the Institute for Heritage and Tourism pointed to security issues and the need to change the wiring in Tehran Bazaar. The wiring is not only damaging to the aesthetics but also carries the risk of a dangerous accidents.
